The brand's trademark is an image of a white swan. The swan embodies nobility, loyalty and purity, which emphasizes high production standards and attention to detail. Study the description of the coat of arms. This emblem is believed to have come to Poland from Denmark during the reign of King Boleslav Kryvoust in 1124. Labandz coats of arms are included in Part 3 of the Coat of Arms of the noble families of the Kingdom of Poland, page 89.

The name Dunin-Barkovsky is a transliteration of the family name in Latin. Polish and Little Russian noble families, as well as a foreign count family from the Dunin clan in Denmark.


Brand concept - when developing each model, we put into it certain meanings, states and images in the concept of reviving and recreating family history. Dunin-Barkovsky does not produce collections in accordance with the spring-summer and autumn-winter seasons.


The concept of updating Dunin-Barkovsky collections is to release capsule lines that are distinguished by their exclusivity and individuality. Each capsule collection reflects a certain style and mood. The released collections are accompanied by a presentation of a photo album and a film that conveys the atmosphere of the collection through the designer's look.


The brand's design is based on the principles of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, the Danmarks Designskole School of Design. The purity and expressiveness of the form, the intelligence and functionality of the models with the absence of decoration, emphasizing their visual identity through the author's photographs.


The Dunin-Barkovsky community consists of designers and art directors, entrepreneurs and top managers, artists and architects, musicians and actors, directors and choreographers, photographers and IT specialists. Those who create and change our world with their work. They are different people, but they are united by a penchant for reflection and a developed aesthetic intelligence.

Founder



The short version:


Dunin-Barkovsky Daniil Dmitrievich, the great-uncle of Dunin Richard Evgenievich, restored the family's historical surname in 2021, after they changed their surname during the times of repression, removing the name of the noble coat of arms.

In 2022, work began on the concept of a family brand that embodies the traditions, culture and history of the family. During this period, the brand's identity began to form with the participation of its own design studio. We seriously thought about our own visual identity, which could meet the philosophy and values of Dunin-Barkovsky.


In 2024, trial samples were sewn together with the atelierigolka experimental production workshop, which laid the foundation for future collections.


On August 8, 2024, the first 140 T-shirts were sewn as part of a collaborative project with an engineering company, and this day is considered Dunin-Barkovsky's birthday.
