Dunin-Barkovsky is a conceptual clothing brand from St Petersburg
The name Dunin-Barkovsky is a transliteration of the family name in Latin. A Polish and Little Russian noble family, as well as a foreign count family from the Dunin clan in Denmark.
The concept of the brand - when developing each model, we put in it certain meanings, states and images in the concept of reviving and recreating the family history. The released collections are accompanied by a photo album presentation and an audio track that conveys the atmosphere of the collection through the designer's point of view. Dunin-Barkovsky does not release collections according to spring-summer and autumn-winter seasons. The concept of updating Dunin-Barkovsky collections is to release capsule lines, which are distinguished by their exclusivity and individuality, like artists' music albums. Each capsule collection reflects a certain style and mood.
The design of the brand is based on the principles of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Danmarks Designskole. Clean and expressive in form, intelligent and functional models with an absence of decoration, emphasising its visual identity through author shoots.
The Dunin-Barkovsky community includes designers and art directors, entrepreneurs and top managers, artists and architects, musicians and actors, directors and choreographers, photographers and IT specialists. Those who create and change our world through their work. These are different people, but they are united by a tendency to reflection and a developed aesthetic intelligence.
The trademark of the brand is an image of a white swan. The swan represents nobility, loyalty and purity, which emphasises the high standards of production and attention to detail.
Study the description of the coat of arms. This emblem is believed to have come to Poland from Denmark during the reign of King Bolesław the Crooked in 1124. The Labendz coat of arms is listed in Part 3 of the Armorial of Noble Families of the Kingdom of Poland, page 89.
The brand manifesto is tout pour l'honneur (translated from French: everything for honour).
Principles - author's vision, meanings and history, impeccable quality, attention to detail and caring service, and upholding the principles of turquoise organisation.
